Lois unique role as the Career Employment Services department’s Information Technology (IT) Apprenticeship Coach. We worked closely together to serve the IT industry partners for the undertaking of developing apprenticeships in several IT disciplines. This was a totally new and innovative approach to recruiting and developing future IT workers who would then be intentionally and fully trained to their companies required skills and qualifications. Lois was also involved in developing different strategies for marketing and strengthening the communications between our office and the students, the divisional programs faculty & leadership and the Greater Lansing community.

Andy Marzano
YEOC Program Manager
University of Washington,WA
Lois McIntosh and her team from Foster High School and the TukwilaSchool District have been some of the most proactive partners of YEOC over the past year. The action they have taken has had a direct impact on their students’ participation in YEOC, and is certainly a model I wish to replicate with our school and district partners across the state. This is a result of these students’ selflessness and willingness to support their community, and action taken by Lois McIntosh to work with the students. I cannot thank her enough for the support of YEOC and of underrepresented minority students in the Tukwila region.
